- I am a Rapid City native, a Vietnam Vet, and a burned out sales executive. I traveled the back roads and highways of more states than I can remember, selling everything from vacuum cleaners, to bull-dozers and oilfield equipment. As a Theoretical Sales Training Instructor for a major insurance company, I taught people how to think with a Positive Mental Attitude. A few years later I fell into a mental hole, that some may argue, I have yet to crawl out of. The insanity contained within my verses, reflects the struggle that I have had with my addictions to … Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll.

I dedicate my writings to my family, to my friends, and to all of you who may be where I was, and occasionally, where I still go. EMOTIONAL PAIN CAN BE A KILLER!!! My way of dealing with it is to first turn and face the pain, then get it out of my head and into a verse … The Smaller The Verse The Better. I learned to take all of that darkness, a little bit at a time, and change it into something I could Ponder, Smile At, Or Even At Times Laugh At.
Each of the musings in “Postcards From The Deep” were written to help make my life a little more tolerable. I use them as the rungs on a ladder to climb in and out of my hole.
